The Engenius ENH202 N300 is an outdoor access point and wireless bridge that features a directional dual-polarity high-gain antenna with MIMO technology (10 dBi directional antennas and 29dbM transmit power, programmable for different countries); it can be used to create 20km long range wireless links.
It works on the 2.4GHz frequency band, providing up to 300Mbps speed (802.11n). Its case is IP55 certified as dustproof, moisture-proof, waterproof, and can tolerate extreme weather conditions like snow, sunlight, extreme cold, frost and humidity. These factors make this device suitable for any large outdoor locations with low channel interference on the 2.4 GHz, in particular where wires cannot be laid easily (or wiring is too expensive): for example, historic or old buildings, large estates, parks, exhibition centers, construction sites, cross-street architectures, outdoor sports venues (ski resorts, athletic arenas, equestrian facilities…), or natural parks.
The ENH202 access point by Engenius can be powered over Ethernet (with Engenius’s proprietary adapter) and it has 2 fast Ethernet ports (of which 1 PoE) to power another device.
This device can work like an access point, or in client bridge mode, or WDS , or also in client router mode. It supports up to 4 SSIDs, public or private, with WPA2, WPA, WEP, and TKIP/AES authentication.
