Join the fight to save the Net Neutrality!
Come and join the protest! On July 12th, 2017, websites, Internet users, and online communities will join together to protest and sound the alarm about the FCC’s attack on Net Neutrality.
The situation is critical as the new FCC chairman and former Verizon lawyer Ajit Pai wants to destroy Net Neutrality to the benefit of big companies. To be simple, FCC chairman plans to give big U.S. cable companies immense control over what we see and do online. If the regulation is adopted, companies like Comcast, Verizon, and AT&T will get the control over what we can see and do on the Internet.
They will have the power to block some websites, to slow down other and charge apps and sites with extra fees to reach an audience.
This would be the end of the Net Neutrality and would give place to an internet controlled by businesses, where some of your favorite websites are forced into a slow lane online, while deep-pocketed companies who can afford expensive “prioritization” fees have special fast lane access to Internet users – tilting the playing field in their favor. The internet access itself would become a new market, the one who pays the most will get a fast access while the other will be into a slow lane online.
If you feel concerned by this new FCC proposal, please join the protest on July 12th!
We have to act all together to protect the Net Neutrality: Internet will come together to stop them. Websites, Internet users, and online communities will stand tall, and sound the alarm about the FCC’s attack on net neutrality.
